3 All-natural ingredients to have for potty training accidents

Accidents happen when potty training so we want to help you be prepared with three key all-natural ingredients. Not only does white vinegar, baking soda and lemon juice are safe cleaning options for your kids, they will help your home smell better. Here are the three ingredients and how you can put them to work for you:

1. White vinegar

Notorious for its unique scent and sanitizing properties, having white vinegar in your arsenal is a must for cleaning up after potty training accidents. White vinegar is an effective solution you can use to clean your toilet bowl when the splashes and splatters happen. Spray straight white vinegar around the rim of the bowl and the sides of the bowl. Follow up your spray session with a wipe down using either paper towels or a rag.

2. Baking soda

This ingredient helps neutralize offensive odors. Spreading a thin layer of baking soda on a puddle of pee will help absorb the results of your child missing the toilet bowl. After allowing the baking soda to absorb the moisture, simply sweep up the baking soda and dump it in the trash.

3. Lemon juice

Found in lemon juice, citric acid will help kill germs and freshen up most surfaces that your kid has had an accident on. If there's any gunk stuck in the cracks of your tile from your child's accidents, spray lemon juice solution (3 parts lemon juice, 1 part water) on it. Allow the solution to sit for 2-3 minutes then scrub with a toothbrush. Wipe away the excess with a rag or cleaning cloth.
