Potty training goals for the New Year

With the New Year coming up, it's a great to evaluate potty training goals. Here are three potty training goals you should set for the upcoming year to help your child make the transition from diapers to regular underwear:

1. Stay positive: Despite having disappointments and shortcomings, do your best to be upbeat. Your child knows when you're not happy and can be discouraged by your negativity. It's ok if you need your own incentive system to stay focused and positive.

2. Stay hydrated: Keep a water bottle on hand and snacks with a high water content such as apples and grapes. By staying hydrated, it'll be easier to stay on schedule with trips to the potty.

3. Stay equipped: As you can probably guess, there are a few things you should never run out of like toilet paper. Other items you should always keep on hand include clean, extra shorts/pants and clean, extra underwear.
